I’ve been telling Karla that the whisky is medicinal, I don’t know if she’ll believe the cigars.

I got it...It’s a numbers game...5% of what a smoker breathes is sucked in and sanitized by a burning ember. The breaths they are inhaling otherwise are so weak from emphysema that they wouldn’t have enough strength to suck in even the smallest aerosols. As for person to person contact, who wants to shake hands with a 2 pack a day man? Smoking is the perfect social distancing tool.

French study, eh?
I assume only Gauloises have that effect, then?
And presumaby red wine from the Bordeaux region, coupled with French cheese, helps also?

I’m sure they accounted for patient weight in the study right? Since obesity is a huge risk factor.

Comorbidities are irrelevant if you don’t catch the virus. They are saying that smokers seem less likely to get it, but are at greater risk if they do get it.

The virus goes into the lungs in bad cases. Perhaps hot smoke is not to its liking.

Smoking has always had it's benefits.
Many people feel like they are outweighed by the negatives.
