Ravel uses these chords with 9th all the time, and even moves them in parallel; here, in the Pavane.
I can't help but wonder what Bach would have thought about that.

Ravel has nothing on Wagner. I can't help what Bach would have thought of waiting 15 hours to hear a series of dimVII chords finally resolve in Wagner's Ring Cycle.

I would be having a few beers and daydreaming about banging anna Magdalena And thinking that those damn German composers were so goddamned self centered to think we should wait so long for them to reach a resolution.
