Putin has so far refrained from making any personal statement about Wednesday's spectacle. Others in Russia have however and that includes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So I would say its statement ought to be treated as the official line.
One noteworthy and encouraging comment though came from that perennial progressive of Russian politics, Vladimir Zhirinovsky. It went as follows:
“Be strong, Donald, we’re with you, the outside world will help you.”

The money quote from the Moscow Times article?
— The leader of Russia’s Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov said in a statement:
“The boomerang came back to them. It was them that launched color revolutions. In fifty years they carried out three dozen, if not more. They toppled the leaders in North Africa and Yugoslavia and ousted a normal government in Ukraine, they had a go at Belarus last year. Well, now they are paying for it.”
This has been my reaction to all the pearl clutching about foreign interference in our elections.

Bo-Jo, that other well-known inflatable-buffoon-with-hair, has condemned Donald Trump "unreservedly". He may have also followed it up in Latin or Ancient Greek or something, secure in the knowledge that Mr. Trump will be gone in a couple of weeks, and also that nobody would really care what he says anyway, even if they could understand him.

it's an amazing arrogance on our part to believe other parties would NOT try to influence our elections. But the shock of it all is quite disingenuous.

Oh we are going to hear death to America chants again.
Remember how much Obama’s Nobel Peace prize helped with our ability to negotiate with them (friends and foes alike) and the so called return to respect after GWB had destroyed our credibility in the world.
Ground hog day...except for the youth who think they discovered everything.
Lesson: don’t ever be a sucker for foreign rhetoric. Even wearing their outfits gets you nothing.

When did we ever stop hearing those chants? Not since 1979 that I can remember.
