Joe did tell folks in Georgia that if they elected Dems, the $2000 checks were coming.

    That's expensive vote buying....

From the RWEC, a fair and balanced assessment:

"For the Democrats: Replacement-level progressive pencil-neck Jon Ossoff and Castro-curious Jeremiah Wright fanboy Raphael Warnock. For the Republicans: Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, two pols so bereft of charisma and an agenda that they’re running instead on their willingness to do literally anything Trump tells them, potentially up to and including committing murder if asked. It’s a microcosm of American politics in 2021, two dubious leftists versus two pretend-MAGA zombies. Good luck, swing voters."

The last week looked like it was trending Democrat control of the Senate but today the picture is a bit brighter for the GOP in a close race. Maybe today’s turnout was better than expected, but it has also been acknowledged that any polls on this were likely to be crap.

I am looking at the futures exchanges for the first real clue of a Democrat flip.

One can only hope enough people understand the value of divided government. In any event, if the D's win control, it will only last two years and they are hardly a united party.

I understand the value of divided government but the difference between 51-49 one way or the other isn’t huge in terms of policy. Bigger difference when it comes to judges or just what’s allowed to come up for a vote (e.g. the 2k stimulus).

                    You were warned.

It really does feel like there’s space for a centrist party and one each for the loony toons from both sides.

2k stimulus is not necessarily a bad idea but it doesn’t need to go to people who haven’t lost their jobs. Not clear what Biden will do in terms of refining who gets it.

About the GA runoff, was a blue or red shift particularly expected based on early/day off voting patterns and/or counting priority?

                              Anyone know?

I’m specifically referring to the drift during the count. Example, everyone knew PA would start out red and shift blue-ward, and everyone expected the opposite in NC.

And homeless shelters are where the democrats have been caught handing out cash to get people to sign ballots that had already been filled out.

With 45% of the vote in the Dems are both up by ~9 pts.

Anyone know if this is representative? Or are we expecting a red shift?

With 45% of the vote in the Dems are both up by ~9 pts.

Anyone know if this is representative? Or are we expecting a red shift?
