I think it helps to understand. There are certain things that I don’t think can be reasonably disputed, like firing into the window with no target in sight.
Agreed - I went into it thinking something woke will be injected into it. But the re-creation itself is pretty useful and seems objective enough to understand the issue.

I watched it. I agree it seemed as factual as possible, and that it was a tragedy. I was happy to hear that her family got a substantial settlement. I would not be happy to hear that all the officers involved got thrown into prison for murder. Why were they there in the first place? They never got into that.

That’s the issue. They were there for a completely sanctioned process.
These sort of raids going sideways is perfectly reasonable to the expect.
White people have died in similar circumstances.

I said from day 1 it was the person who authorized the no knock warrant who should be accountable.
It is a very interesting re-creation and a great way to bring clarity to so many inputs. The one thing that rubbed be wrong was the officer who alleged not to see, hear or recognize he shot so many times. He is either lying or should have been known to be not fit for the job. Makes no sense otherwise.

For sure I want to see a more thorough accouting of what happened leadig up to the no knock warrant getting issued.

As I said next door, how any jurisdiction could think that it is a good idea to have both no-knock raids and a castle doctrine is beyond me.
I can only guess that shoot outs just don’t happen. I mean even for the bin laden raid so much angst went into it, from positive identification, to loss of innocent life to things going horribly wrong.
Yet here with sleeping neighbors and bad lighting and no swat team, No positive ID and they never modeled all the things that might go wrong. Never seen it before?
