    Watching first episode on AppleTV now. Not loving it. They skip around all over in a beautifully sequential book. It starts out with the burying bodies in Boulder.

    I mean... Whoopi Goldberg wearing some sort of hideous dreadlock rug as Mother Abigail? really?

      @mik I tried to read The Stand in, oh, 1988 or so. I just couldn't get into it, and gave up about ⅓ of the way through. It really soured me on King, and then I thought I'd give him another chance with Salem's Lot. Wow, wow, wow, what a great story.
