If Trump had won a second term...

You think he would have felt compelled to nominate Federalist Society judges? Or might he have gone really Trumpy? I’m wondering what kind of bullet we might have dodged. I don’t lose a lot of sleep over federalist society judges, though I prefer Robert’s institutionalism. But image if we had full on nutters on the high federal courts like Powell or Wood?
Obviously this is all speculation but am curious what you all think.

I'm convinced he would have spent his second term routing out electoral fraud in all of its manifestations.

I’m speaking specifically about judicial appointments.
In his first term, my feeling is he didn’t have strong opinions about justices other than generically wanting them to be conservative. When advised that the promise that he would choose from the federalist society short list would help him with the Christian Right, he probably didn’t think twice about it.
Over the next four years, though, he had plenty of losses in court including with judges he picked. He always seemed surprised that they weren’t “on his team” and would speak openly about that expectation.
After a second win, he wouldn’t need to worry about who he might alienate going off-list. And I think he’d want to choose people more reliably loyal to him personally.
