Yes and chickens have lips.
Yep. If you call the right thing a chicken.....

And you call yourself a farmer. I was referring to the domesticated fowl that give us eggs and other culinary delicacies. You did know they had beaks didn't you?
The assholes are so easy to pick out in this thread.

I think Dewey is doing what he believes is right. If you don't agree, you don't need to listen.
I think David Burton is a kook. Similarly, if I don't agree with him, I don't have to listen.
Neither of them are here to defend themselves, so maybe we should leave them be.

That's not quite right. Let us consider Luke and the words of Christ:
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? What are the fruits? Breaking up a family, not providing for them as he could (I Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.) and the sin of a practicing homosexual.
So, we're not looking at motives, but at actual unrepentent sin preaching from the pulpit.
And that's just wrong and should be labeled as such.

Yes, we certainly have one participating now.

Well said

I've not said a single thing that I haven't already said to Dewey's "face".
In some people's opinion, he may be a great person. That, I do not know. What I do know, is that he is an apostate preacher.
And I'll be happy to go round and round with him on that, right here. Right now.

I really dislike the tendency of disparaging people who are no longer participants here. It's really easy to take a swipe at someone with whose views/positions/politics/personality you disagree with.
They're gone.
Accept that and, dare I say, move on.
I used to participate on another forum that started dumping on a person who was not even on that forum. I found it distasteful to attack him/her when s/he had no place to reply.
Don't speak ill of the (figurative) dead, especially when they've been gone for years.

I have met KathyK and Jack Front in person. I have also met KathyK's new beau, I believe it was at one of @jon-nyc's piano parties. I have also met David Burton. Sure we disagree at times on politics or conspiracy theories, but we got along pretty damn fine when we talk about music and piano, family and such.
I think if we were all in a big pile, "all" including everyone... there would be several here who think I'm an asshole who would go home later saying "actually he turned out to be a very nice guy, a lot of fun." A few others would go home saying "I wanted to hit him but i wouldnt have lived long enough to tell anyone about it".....
And I would enjoy everyone of you with the following exceptions: the instant I saw Kathy K I would slap her unconscious and there's not enough of you to stop me. Jack Frost and Andy D would either leave the minute they saw me, or at the very least just get real quiet in hopes that they got out alive. I'd get along fine with Ax as long as he did t start one of those epileptic seizures he calls piano pkaying... but the entire evening I'd be flipping his ears and stuff like that because,.. well, that's just what you do with a guy like Ax.....
Other than those exceptions I'd enjoy everyone...

Dude what are you, 70? The women here could kick your ass.
Lol
I've got news for you. I may be one my way to 70, but I can still pick Ax up and whip Andy's ass with him.....

You know.... if you joined in and actually bothered to get to know us rather than to just use us you too would be able to tell when people have their tongue in their cheek and when they're making a fist. You might figure out that there's not nearly as many fists flying as you think. Hell, it might even teach you how to self reflect, which would result in a new perspective on just who it is thats the asshole.

Indeed. There is nothing to be gained by dredging up old wounds, and much to be lost. Again.

Yup. I can take it. Its ok. I know who the good people are and am learning to take and accept their rebuttals. People like you and George though, through our disagreements, you are both people who i am blessed to call friend.

It's not a "tendency", Dewey fucked with me while he was here, was disingenuous and manipulative, and I dislike it. There is not a "tendency", but leaving does not give immunity from comment in the future.
