IOW, anybody who disagrees with you is an imbecile.

If you think Dewey is a fundamentalley good guy, I would invite you to re-read the history, and its fallout. I cherish history, as you know.

Surprisingly, I think most people are fundamentally good.

I suspect his kids are good.

Yes, I know you do. Now name some flaws.

Well brought up, then.
I hesitate to comment on family situations we haven't really seen.
Also, we're all happy for Mel Gibson, but Dewey is a sociopath?

I've watched Dewey. He wanted to be watched, it's not like I was spying.

I'm pretty sure Dewey was driven off by a bunch of assholes.
Dewey is apostate. The man left his wife and children for another man. He fucked over his family, shirked his responsibilities and then proclaimed Jesus from the pulpit while giving the finger to God.
I Timothy is often cited as a Pastoral Epistle...
1 Timothy 3:1-7
King James Version3 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
-
I'm apostate too, presumably.

You ain't preaching from behind a pulpit.

I think Dewey is doing what he believes is right. If you don't agree, you don't need to listen.
I think David Burton is a kook. Similarly, if I don't agree with him, I don't have to listen.
Neither of them are here to defend themselves, so maybe we should leave them be.

I don't know of any of particular flaws but then I wouldn't say I knew him very well. (Though I suppose I did argue with him quite a bit on these forums). I don't think I read anything to indicate anything negative about him. Is there something you had in mind or is it just the fact that he is a gay man who came out late in life?
I suppose I should add that from what I knew of him, from the interactions I had on this forum, I thought he was a kind and considerate man who genuinely cared about people.

There appears to be a large amount of penis, hard penis, involved in his decision of what is right. He is a human, a closeted gay human for 50 years, after all. I guess penis must taste good to such a person. That is humanity, but let's not mistake it for some deeper truth. It's just lust, for penis, which Dewey felt.

OK.
