If I could interrupt the
endlessendlessly fascinating Trump-Is-Buzzard-Puke/Jesus-Is-Beta Trump circle jerk for a minute, have y'all heard about Amazon cancelling their Prime delivery program? I got an email that it's to be discontinued early Jan. Here's what it says: "Starting early January 2021, we will be ending the Amazon Pantry subscription program. At the same time, we will be transitioning thousands of everyday household products from Amazon Pantry to the main Amazon.com store so you can get them faster with Prime delivery and without an extra Pantry subscription. We will refund the Amazon Pantry subscription fee remaining on your account as of January 6, 2021.As I am always the last to hear Net gossip, I wondered if any of y'all know any of the deets.

I get free Pantry for $35 and over orders. Same for Whole Foods. This isn’t cancelling Prime as I read it.

Yeah, same here. I really don't understand. During the surge of SARS-CoV-2 back in March, they suspended it, but I can't find anything current to say it's cancelled.

Sounds like they're canceling Pantry, not Prime.
It makes less sense since their Whole Foods acquisition.

Pantry really just confuses things. I’ve done several WF orders, no Pantry.
Besides, Kroger is kicking their ass on online grocery shopping with Clicklist.

ORLY? I haven't looked.
I've been using Instacart for the most part.

I now get an order a week at least from WF, but usually small.
I get one big one from Fresh Direct. Well, expensive anyway because it includes wine.
And i do a stop and shop every week or so also.

No delivery (only "shipping") to my location.
Sigh.

In any case, something weird is going on with their deliveries of late. They're farming out more, and the shippers suuuuck.
Okay, thanks for the responses. I'll just bide and see what happens.

George. Are there Kroger stores near you? They would have click list. You shop online then they load it into your trunk at a prearranged time. No fee.

WalMart will do the same. I'll use one of their Neighborhood Markets occasionally.
Kroger does a better job and their meat is better, but the NM is much closer to me (only about 20 miles).
