I see lots of "light kits" available which are compatible with Google/Alexa/Homekit. In fact, I have my living room lighting set up with Phillips Hue lights. It's a great way to adjust lighting for a specific occasion:

    1. "Hey Siri, good night"
    2. "Hey Siri, we have guests"
    3. "Hey Siri, good morning."

But I see a lot of people putting a light strip solution behind their TVs.

Yeah, it looks, well, interesting, but why would you want to do that other than the "cool" factor. I would think you wouldn't want any distracting lighting behind/around your TV.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Primates are attracted to bright colorful things, and we are not as far removed from the trees as we might think.

Doesn't that comment belong in the "Senator Trump" thread?

Actually, I think the lighting in the background could help. The screen surrounded by all black can be a little jarring... This looks a little easier to watch...
