“Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the presidential election have met with defeat in every swing state and in nearly every court where his cases have been heard. But Trump’s campaign to pressure GOP elected officials to support his baseless claims of a rigged election — and his success in convincing a majority of the party that widespread voter fraud occurred — is already showing signs of having far-reaching effects that will reshape the Republican Party for years to come.
State party chairs are tearing into their governors. Elected officials are knifing one another in the back. Failed candidates are seizing on Trump’s rhetoric to claim they were also victims of voter fraud in at least a half dozen states.
In recent weeks, the chair of the Arizona Republican Party, Kelli Ward, told the state’s Republican governor to shut up on Twitter in a feud over the integrity of Arizona’s election, which Biden won — choosing Trump over the state’s highest ranking Republican Party official. Ward’s counterpart in Georgia, David Shafer, joined the state’s two Republican senators in attacking the state’s Republican secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, while leaving Trump to tear into Republican Gov. Brian Kemp.
In Michigan, the state Republican Party chair, Laura Cox, stood by Trump’s campaign as it pressed Republican lawmakers to override the popular vote in her state — something Republican legislative leaders have said repeatedly they won’t do.Enmity between the Republican Party’s populist and establishment wings has existed in some form for years, long predating Trump. But Trump’s domination of the party has exacerbated the gulf between them, and his persistent demand that Republicans choose sides has left little room for compromise.

He ain't going nowhere.
And neither are his voters.
Deal with it.
I think his voters will become a smaller part of the party, which will be a problem for the Republics.

His policies and the thinking behind them resonate with a whole lot of Americans. As the younger generations age and try to build net worth they will realize how ridiculous the idea of government making life 'fair' is without dedication on their own part.
The examples are everywhere and the lessons will not be lost on them. It will not be lost on the party, either.

This kind of article just demonstrates the struggle these oraganizations will have in digging out from their TDS.
This article is thin gruel and barely coherent unless you want (well I doubt free will is involved) to believe the arrangement of points = a meaningful and insightful narrative.

The GOP will have to cut deep to get rid of him. An R0 resection, as my wife would say.
Even R0 resections are subject to recurrence.

My feeling is that whether the Trump influence is something that's going to last, or whether he'll be seen as a bit of a blip is impossible to say at this point.

True. In this case I'd recommend a 6000 Gy neoadjuvant radiotherapy, followed by R0 resection surgery, and we finish off with a six month aggressive chemotherapy. When there's any microscopic trace of recurrence, we immediately consider euthanasia. What do you think?

@Larry Do you and @jon-nyc still have that bet ongoing where the person who picked the next president gets the right the other person signature line?
(think it was something like that)
I don't make or take bets. I dont get fooled very often either.
