Faraday cages have long been in use by preppers.
-
But to enclose a WiFi router?
-
It's either a very bad idea, or a very bad Faraday cage.

Nope, usually around the home computer.

I know that Faraday cages block the reception of electromagnetic waves. But do they equally block their transmission?
In any case, it would be more effective to just reduce the transmission power of the router, if the concern is to reduce electromagnetic "pollution".

For preppers and their computers, it's EMP protection

It seems like the people buying this are having a hard time distinguishing between what we in the trade refer to as unintentional and intentional radiators.
I wonder if they surround their space heaters with ice packs.
