None of that crap in the condo. Tree is up with minimal decorations because cats.

The Princess is having challenges with her new cat and the Christmas tree.
Part of the reason it is a pain in the ass is because SOMEONE who lives in my house is a perfectionist. I'm an 80/20 guy. It causes some friction.
"It looks fine. Just let it be."
"Well, it just needs to be moved this way a little bit"
Rinse, repeat ad nauseum.

The landscape companies that work in this neighborhood turn into Christmas decoration companies this time of year.
So they all have nice professional climbing and hanging equipment.
They can outline your whole fancy, custom brick home with led lights in nothing flat.
This leads to competition.

Do you have Frosty staked down? He looks like a strong gust will take him down.
I'm getting the ladder out tonight to start working on the front of the house.

Competition is good until it becomes between the neighbors.

I believe there are HOA awards for House Christmas decorating in 3 categories this year - Traditional, Whimsical and something else.

Obnoxious? I always thought that should be a category.

Tree is up. Along with the 400+ ornaments on it.
I don't normally have housecats. In fact, I've never had a housecat. But...since my favorite outside cat got his butt tore up by some critter or another, and I've dropped $1000 in vet bills this week, I guess I have a housecat until Frick heals up.
We've had a very heart-to-heart talk about the Christmas tree. If that black sucker tears up my tree, I'm gonna tie him to a tree for coyote bait.

We are going to get the stuff out of storage tomorrow. Then we will look at the bins for a couple of days. Maybe we'll start putting things up next weekend. Some of my neighbors have had their lights for a couple of weeks now.
