Saw the first two episodes of season 2.

I’m not so happy with the story telling. Looks like they can’t decide whether they want to tell one big story (like Game of Thrones, for instance) or many small stories (like 1980s Star Trek, for instance).

I wonder if the rest of the season is also going to be "The Mandalorian dealing with obstacles on the way to Baby Yoda's people". That would be rather boring.

All in all, it’s ok to watch while riding on Zwift, but not more.

I think it’s in service of fandom. So many props and allusions to other Star Wars movies, so much filling in of story lines.

It’s a big hit on that level.

I watched the first episode. It was nice seeing Timothy Olyphant again. But your assessment is spot on. Looks like they're planning to do episodic TV, I mean, at the end of Episode 1, they literally rode off into the sunset.

I'm interested to know whether Mace Windu is going to return. His death always felt a bit half-assed. Seriously, you threw the most powerful fighting Jedi out of the window?

Yes, it’s episodic. Yes, it’s fan service. It’s also 2000 times better than anything from the last trilogy.

Star Wars was never serious and has always been at it’s best when it’s fun. This is fun.

Oh, yeah. In episode 1....huge worm that travels under the sand and eats people and animals.

              C'mon, man!

It probably stands out because the rest of Star Wars is just so completely original and free of stolen ideas.

My daughter just started watching it last night and wants to replace baby Jesus with baby Yoda in our mantel manger scene. We drew the line there. We already have two white ceramic raptors with gold bowties (s&p shakers) to each side as the family joke.

In all fairness, the Krayt Dragon is a long-standing part of Star Wars lore from the comics in the 80s and some of the novels (who stole it from Dune...)

The entire Empire looks as though it's clothed in dodgy WW2 Nazi uniforms liberated from Elstree Studios. It's a little late to worry.

I lost interest when they showed Mando's face at the end of last season.

                                Giving up.

This is directed to the 10-year-old fanbois who think the dancing "Stormtroopers" at Disney world are coo.

Nice CGI, weak plots (perfectly suited to a 10-year-old mind).

I'm 4 episode in, and there's so much more I can waste my time on. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it's so predictable. It's freaking Disney and it shows.

                                Bah....

And yeah, I get what LuFin's Dad said about it being "fun."

If I want a disease fun, I'll get in touch with @Aqua-s-Sister. Give me The Expanse depth, complexity and a huge storyline. I feel like I'm watching the 1st 3 episodes of the trilogy/trilogy, albeit without Hayden Christensen.

                                Bah...again.

I watched it to the end. It gets progressively worse, with the last episode of season 2 being the worst.

For many of those people that know all things Star Wars it got progressively more enjoyable. I think I wouldn’t have enjoyed it nearly as much without an interpreter who was “all in”.
