Puzzle Time - For the Rest of US (LOL)

Inventor Paradox:
Three friends talked about Horace, but only one of them knew the truth.
"Horace has invented hundreds of toys!" Klaus said.
"No, he hasn't," George said, "He has invented fewer than that."
"Well, he has invented at least one toy", Jon said.
If only one of the above statements is true, can you figure out how many toys Horace has invented?

My inventions are not toys. Reminds me of the old saying, 'Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds'. The story of Oppenheimer's infamous quote. He wasn't as good an inventor as I am, but he was pretty good.

Ok I guessed George too, but have no idea why it's correct.

"Both Statement 1 and Statement 3 can be true, so the number cannot be more than 100.
Statement 3 and Statement 2 can be true if the total is between 100 and 1
But only statement 2 is correct if the total is 0"
