Artificer just got released as a class, as of today. It's in Tasha's Cauldron.

And no, you can't self-identify as a lvl20 Draconic Barbarian. That is not an acceptable life-choice.

Isn't the regular board just one long D&D session?
It's how I've always approached it, at least.

And we're all zero level NPCs?

Hahah all kidding aside I'm absolutely writing a campaign for this. At this point I don't even care if you folk take me up on it, I'm doing it anyway. But you really should.

Hell yeah. Once we get a list of folks who want to do this, we'll move on to phase 2: getting character sheets filled out and finding a time to meet up. (I have it on good authority that the average American has things going on in their lives right now, so I'll try to keep the sessions quick and manageable.)
My other group meets once, sometimes twice a month, which seems to work.
You can already go to the D&D Beyond Character Builder and roll yourself a toon: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/builder
Quick Build keeps you from making asshat mistakes (like what I did when I started with 5e). But if you wanna get all OCD about it and do the Standard Build, make sure you choose these options on the first page:

Hell yeah.
Pick yer race and class! I swear, setting your character up is pretty much the most work you'll have to do. I'd do it for you, but you need to access the sheet yourself to do the rolls and such. (Which, trust me, makes everything else so much easier.)
Pick the Quick Build option and you'll be up and running in about three minutes.

@Aqua-Letifer this sounds interesting, but I have no background or experience in playing the game AT ALL.

All this stuff might as well be in Chinese for me. I have no idea what you're talking about.
None.

You literally don't need any. All you need to do is to roll a character using the character builder. Then, save your login information and have the sheet open when we play. You tap on stuff when I ask you to tap on stuff, and you tell me the number. That's literally all there is to the mechanics of playing.

I'll give it a shot. I have no idea how it works without a computer, but it should be a laugh.

It's actually easier.

@Aqua-Letifer if using standard character creation, which option do you want us to use for attributes?
