    1. The bandaid remains on until I SAY IT'S TIME TO REMOVE IT.
    2. It is not determined that the bandaid needs to come off.
    3. There is every reason to believe that the bandaid will fall off all by itself if left for long enough.
    4. It is quite possible that it is not a bandaid at all, and is actually part of my skin that is just a slightly different colour from the rest of me.

at what point will people give in? Biden will be on the capitol podium getting sworn in in January. People can in their mind accept or not accept his legitimacy. But he will be the one sworn in. On that I have no doubt and if you question that, then someone else has their heads buried in the asses so deep they can’t see what’s obvious to most of the population including most republicans. I’ll be happy to bump this post in January for those who think otherwise.

If you choose in your mind to not accept it, that’s certainly your right but it won’t change the reality on the ground.

I expected this if it appeared Trump lost, so I am completely content to let it play out. I offer no prediction of the result.

Personally, I'd be amazed if the Trump's people come up with anything substantive, but I'm one of the very few people who posts on the internet who's frequently wrong about anything, so take that for what it's worth.

I believe it will play out and the truth will be known. What that is is TBD.

Nope. If I thought that I would say so. If I thought the other way I would say that. I think the worst that can come of this exercise is steps taken to increase voter confidence.

It is a general thing going on in society to place blame on others, rather than taking responsibility for your actions. This is another example of this.

President elect Biden will be the president, Not because the Democrats stole the election But because the Republicans and President Trump did not appeal to enough US voters to win the election. PERIOD.

Let me repeat. President elect Biden will be the president. The reason is is because President Trump did not appeal to enough voters to win the election. PERIOD

At what point did the democrats truly give in on the legitimacy of the Trump Presidency? Many thought he was installed by Putin and the media spent 4 years trying to prove it and the House tried to remove him.

@Loki people may not have liked him but legal legitimacy was not questioned. People certainly grumbled.about the popular vs electoral count but no one questioned the legality.

Just look at the Obama Trump transition, was there any concerted effort to make it difficult?

what trump is doing is unprecedented and ultimately showing that the good of the nation is not really his priority.

He can still pursue legal redress and yet allow administration staff to meet with their counterparts and do some info sharing. What he’s doing is deliberately screwing any chance for transition, which will happen whether he likes it or not.

and what I once thought of as not conceivable, the secret service escorting him out in January, I see now as a possibility. If that happens, his legacy in history books will be pathetic indeed.

What, specifically, with regard to the transition is he doing that is unprecedented? He's disputing the validity of the election, pointless as it seems. It's a serious question. We're only 13 days since the election which he seems to have lost.

Just for a sense of perspective, 43's transition was done in 39 days, when Al Gore disputed the election.

Edit to add: I'm not justifying it by any means. Simply pointing out that it's not unprecedented.

Too bad we don’t have betting odds on what will happen. That would clear up all the jibber jabber in a hurry.

at what point will people give in? Biden will be on the capitol podium getting sworn in in January. People can in their mind accept or not accept his legitimacy. But he will be the one sworn in. On that I have no doubt and if you question that, then someone else has their heads buried in the asses so deep they can’t see what’s obvious to most of the population including most republicans. I’ll be happy to bump this post in January for those who think otherwise.

If you choose in your mind to not accept it, that’s certainly your right but it won’t change the reality on the ground.

At what point did the democrats truly give in on the legitimacy of the Trump Presidency? Many thought he was installed by Putin and the media spent 4 years trying to prove it and the House tried to remove him.

Jon has never referred to Trump as President Trump. Oh, he managed to find one reference that was half-ass, but I don't count it. Maybe Captain Pedantic would, but Ax ain't judging this one.

At least Jon would say his name. There were multiple dipshits across the fence who would snigger as they referred to President Trump as Individual One or as I-1.

At least, if Biden is sworn in, I will refer to him as President Biden. I might spit when I do it, but I've got that much class.
