      Aqua at IKEA.

I need to let that picture develop a bit.

Retail Hell. I hate that place.

I quite like the Swedish meatballs.

We used to go there primarily as they would look after the kids for an hour while we sat silently in the cafe with the hundred yard stare well known to parents of toddlers everywhere.

          I was only joking

I used to joke that if I only had an hour to live, I'd like to do it at IKEA as it would seem like a lifetime there.

Don't tell anybody, but I'm quite intrigued by the totally legal high. I've put the organic stuff on my Amazon wishlist and might give it a shot when nobody's looking.

Not all tea works the same, you gotta shop around a bit. Some stuff is just an extremely good mood booster. Other stuff, like 10-year-old white tea, can very well knock one on one's ass. I feel really weird after too much of it.

Gotta brew it gong fu style though, not western.

Yeah, I've found that that one's pretty hardcore. Like, the walls don't start melting, but I can only drink so much at a time, it's definitely up there with the theanine level. I drink that one every morning.

Just remember, gotta brew it differently. You don't need any fancy ass stuff, even a bowl would work.

I got my dad on it, actually. Not to get too dark or anything, but he was on a pretty strong opioid regimen because of his myriad back and neck surgeries—some successful, some not. He started noticing that, well, maybe he was taking too much of that shit. The prospect of being an addict scared the hell out of him so he quit cold turkey. But amidst all the weird shit that comes from opioid withdrawal, he now had to deal with the pain again.

I sent him a packet of the organic stuff and told him, look, this is gonna seem like weird hippie shit, but just try this for a week and see if it does anything for you. (I told him I wouldn't waste his time with it if I didn't think it would actually be helpful.) He said it helps a little bit with the pain management but it's done wonders for his mood. His back still hurts but he cares a lot less.

This is a guy who was on a painkiller regimen that would stun a horse. He said after about the third day, "y'know I think that tea has a little bit of kick to it! I drank some in the morning, washed the cars, and went out to ref two soccer games." So, yeah, probably something to it.

                      Please love yourself.

Although most of our tea is quaffed with spoonful of demerara in it, we have some white needle and a dedicated brown 'artisan' teapot. Ours is maybe half the size of yours with some of chinese characters and I have a sneaking suspician they say something like 'The smaller our pot, the more you pay'.

Cool! And yep, that's indeed what they say. 😊 Do you know what kind of clay? Mine's a no-frills Yixing Zisha pot that holds about 200ml. It seems to be great for pu'er and dark oolongs.

Can't remember exactly, but it's made in mainland China and the clay takes on the flavour of the tea, so we've only used it for silver needle. Second or third brewing is best.

Oolong is brewed in an ordinary pot. Wife takes green tea occasionally as medicine.
We buy Tetleys by the sackful. Common as muck 🤣

@AndyD The teapot is kind of hard to read, but the characters on the side, is a poem, and it is supposed to rhyme.

Reading from right to left on the top, the first character is rain, then clear, then I think practice, and the last one is hard to tell. The bottom of the teapot, you are correct, is the maker.

That is very kind of you to try to read and translate from my inadequate photography. It's nearly 30 years since my in-laws took us to the shop in Malaysia. I'll add a few better snaps of the writing which I find rather beautiful.
