I don't know. As I said, I don't consider it likely, but the actions (systematically raise doubts about the election months before the election, refusal to accept election results, sudden replacement of strategic positions with loyal yes-men) would be consistent with the hypothesis. I don't think the probability is 10%, but I don't think it is 0% either. He could pad his "election was stolen" story a bit more (e.g. by "uncovering" a master plan of the democrats to manipulate the election and that they must be treated as traitors) and use it as a reason to stay in the WH, maybe promising to repeat the election at some undetermined future date, ask his supporters to "defend their country" (and we know that would work with quite a few people), present himself as the saviour of the US, and hint at the potential use of force if somebody tries to remove him. Ample precedent of this kind of story in the history books...

Thankfully, the US army doesn't have any army general uniforms in his size.

        I hear you Klaus.

If any other world leader were doing this we'd all be pretty suspicious. And I don't blame anyone for being concerned.

Maybe I should be more concerned than I am, but I read the reporting from inside the WH that there's no real plan other than to survive from one news cycle to the next, and I find it very easy to believe.

        You were warned.

Chill; a few more days and all the bruhaha will settle. The Donald will be looking at more winter golfing. And Melania will think on what hubby would like as a leaving present, maybe knit him a colourful rastacap.

71 million people voted for Trump. 71 million people believe the election was stolen. They have very good reason to believe that. 71 million people need to find out if our election process can be trusted. If Biden wins and that's proven, fine. But if you want Biden to be seen as legitimately elected, this process HAS to play out.

Nancy Pelosi literally said from a podium that the election would be stolen by the democrats, and that it would happen overnight. Biden literally declared from a podium that the democrats has built the biggest election fraud organization in history. Don't try to rationalize either one of those statements. They said it, and 71 million voters take them at their word. Hillary Clinton said several weeks before the election that Biden should refuse to concede, because if he hung in there the vote count would go up until he won. 71 million people understood her quite clearly - "don't give up Joe, we'll bring the votes you need".

We are justified in not trusting the democrats. They have proven beyond doubt that they cannot be trusted. Instead of continuing to nurse your TDS, you should be hanging your heads in shame for continuing to defend a political party that you KNOW is corrupt.

But you go right on bashing Trump, and crowing about having elected a feeble minded loser. I don't know if Trump will win or not, I don't know what he will do next, neither do you. But there's one thing I DO know with 100% certainty: whether you ever admit it out loud or not, I know that it won't be long until you regret your choice, and I know 100% that Biden/Harris will fuck this country over good. And I fully intend to rub your noses in the shit from it.

Klaus, he's flapping right now. It is for Trump psychologically impossible to admit failure. I mean, he can't, in the way an agoraphobe can't leave his house. Fate has him facing foursquare his failure to win re-election, and there is nothing he can do to fix that or to evade it. He's lashing out, scrambling around. Probably we'll see more irrational behavior before it's all done.

As for DoD, the newsies report ongoing "tensions" between him and Esper for some time, so there's one reason he picked on Esper.

Yes, but he has not only replaced Esper. From what I read, he replaced quite a few additional high-ranking people at the DoD. as well. It's like a purge. Why in the DoD and why now?

If you want evidence, I know three people who voted for Trump who don't think it was stolen.

So, at the very worst-case, 6,999,997 people think it was stolen. If you extrapolate the data, I suspect it may come down even more.

Mr. Trump might be the last person in the world who could get away with it.

AOC could get away with it.

Ms. Harris is almost guaranteed to get away with it.
