I just got back from the church. A window was broken on the front of the building and one of the exterior columns had been damaged. Vandalism. So, the cops were called.
I've known the sheriff's deputy for years. He plays drums and base guitar. Marching band helped him pay for college.
He voted for Trump and he works a job that doesn't require a college degree.
I didn't ask him if he was anti-semitic...

Customer of the social worker. My wife's company is doing this pilot program where they hook people up to a couple different kinds of professionals to help them weather this work-from-home stuff: a tech person who can help them navigate what kind of crap they can use to improve their video quality and such, a second person whom I forget, and a social worker to discuss stuff and help them monitor how they're weathering 2020.
So yeah, all I heard was my wife's side of things. Absolutely insane. This woman actually thinks that Trump voters are all backwards, lazy hicks who dropped out of high school, and hate Jews because Jews have the good sense to make something of themselves and not resort to plumbing and other such low work.
I couldn't hear her side of things but I heard the tone of her voice. It wasn't angry, just matter of fact. She was just talking about things everyone already knew anyway so what was the big deal?
My God. This person works as a social worker.

I had a friend who was a social worker. He was one of the most woke people I've ever known - this was 30 years ago, so we used the term right-on rather than woke. He was the nicest guy imaginable, but definitely not the brightest bulb.

Far-left liberalism is becoming more mainstream and as it does, it's turning people insane. And man there's nothing for it than to just block it out of your life, there's no convincing them you're not the great satan if that's what they want to believe.
I'm really glad my D&D group is so big into drug culture. It's hard to stick to and care about the Racist Trumper narrative after psilocybin introduces you to the secrets of our ancient astronauts. I used to appreciate them for their eccentricities but the world's gone so crazy, they've become the most squared-away people I know.

Yet they believe Israel is a bunch of devil's for mistreating those poor poor "palestinians", they think moving the US embassy in Israel was done to hurt "palestinians" and help mean old Israel, the peace deals Trump worked out between Israel and other Arab nation is bad..... the truth is, THEY are the ones who are antisemitic.

Some Jewish communities are catching on, though, and they're bringing this to light. It going to be interesting to see how the militant left grapples with those in the Jewish community who are calling out this behavior. So far they haven't gone so far as to adopt an overall anti-Jewish mindset, but I wonder what's going to happen in the next few years.

Trump did pretty well with Florida Jews. Those are going to be the older guys, the sons and the daughters of Jews who well remember the Holocaust and know what real anti-Semitism. is.
