I've never met Ted Cruz. I have met and sat on the opposite side of the table from Kennedy, because his office had oversight over us.

If you think the Foghorn Leghorn accent indicates a mediocre mind, you are alligator bait.

You've said that before. Remember when some talking head mocked him for his southern accent?

I wonder if he uses that "aw shucks" personna on purpose.

I'm sure he does. But his clarity of thought and communication is second to none, and his ability to relate to his intended audience.

He was the state treasurer. He can roll columns of numbers off the top of his head and not refer to his notes.

Born in Mississippi, he was raised in Zachary. Zachary is on the north side of Baton Rouge. Lot of blue collar, oilfield and chemical plant folks live in Zachary.

His accent is quite Old South and more refined than my redneck dulcet tone.

          From his website:

*Sen. Kennedy graduated magna cum laude in political science, philosophy, and economics from Vanderbilt, was president of his senior class, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an executive editor of the “Virginia Law Review” and elected to the Order of the Coif. He earned a Bachelor of Civil Law degree with first class honors from Oxford University (Magdalen College) in England, where he studied under Sir Rupert Cross and Sir John H. C. Morris. *

They tried very hard to get him to run for governor. Because of the Long legacy, the governor is very powerful in this state.

                      He said no.

                        McCabe lies again.

Of course, as Deputy Director of the FBI, why would he have cause to know such an obscure thing?

He actually said that his firing because of lying was very different than Flynn's prosecution for lying.
