The messaging from Trump has been pretty poor, in my opinion. He doesn't seem capable of staying on message, or providing either honesty or consistency when he does come out with things.
Whether there has been any verifiable link between this and the Covid results is open to debate, of course. I'm actually rather skeptical that Trump's communications had any real effect on things.

It would be nice to see some intelligent analysis of the reason for the differences that wasn't just SHUT UP TRUMP IS BAD/GOOD!
I assume there are treatment differences between countries, there are certainly cultural differences. Europeans are said to take longer and more vacations during the summer. How would that alter the curve? Does diet and exercise make a difference? Age makes a difference, how does the elderly life-style differ?

It would seem reasonable to assume that population density must make a difference. The way it cut through New York and Northern Italy was absolutely horrifying. I really hope we don't get a repeat of that.

Sometimes that's kind of how it sounds to me, but Jolly lives in an area that's a lot more rural than most. Means he's gonna say some shit that others wouldn't because he's coming from a different perspective. Ultimately he doesn't strike me as homicidal.
I think that's part of America's problem, actually. An electrician from Maysville, WV has absolutely nothing in common with a pharma lobbyist in McLean, VA. Nothing. And they're within just two hours of one another. Hell you could be talking about two middle-aged white males and you still have a cultural chasm between them. I don't hate you, man, I just think you would benefit from cooling out some. I'm still pretty liberal. As I said before I'm for universal health care, gay marriage, public schools, and I don't like the idea of telling a woman she can't get an abortion. I was beyond pissed after the 2016 election. But the world didn't end and after awhile it became pretty obvious that the anti-Trump crowd, despite having a ton of very legitimate gripes, became hysterical. That shit's not good for anybody.
I still have many liberal views but right now, what's far more important to me is for people I completely disagree with politically, people who really piss me off, to be allowed to think what they want and live their lives. That's absolutely got to come first.

which reminds me,,,, hmmmm, i realize there is a dearth of liberal minded folks here, (Lord knows the beatings they take here, for which I applaud people like Jon, D'oh and Ax) but I believe each one of them has put their face in front of their beliefs here.
