Speaking after midnight following a full day of campaigning, the President was complaining about news media coverage of Covid-19 when the crowd broke out into a "Fire Fauci" chant."Don't tell anybody, but let me wait until a little bit after the election," Trump said to cheers. "I appreciate the advice."

My opinion, is that he "evolved" as the science and knowledge of COVID increased.
As we learned more about it, he adapted to make sure that the steps in place to minimize it were in line with what we know.
Of course, I am looking at it from 10000 meters.

From what I've seen, Fauci is honest. He might be wrong, but he tells us what he believes to be true.
-
Fauci is a conscientious civil servant who (1) has the expertise and (2) tries to do right by his country and his fellow men but is stymied by a "boss" who is (a) basically an ignorant buffoon and (b) a narcissist who have no qualm with spreading deadly infections to his fellow men to serve his own interest.

So when Fauci is wrong he's just learning and speaking from the knowledge known at that moment, trying his best to do what's right for the country, but Trump is an evil bastard who doesn't care about the country and a dumbass who should have known everything there is to know on day one....
And you think that's an intelligent view.....
This kind of stupid is where democrats come from.

Wasn’t he the first to say not to wear masks, and also told us it would go away in the summer?
Also didn’t the media tell us how much better Europe was doing and they were the model until suddenly Europe exploded and there was crickets from the media that their rhetoric was off the mark?
I thin kFauci is fine, as public health expert, it’s all about lives at it should be and livelihoods is not a variable. But he is human and has made as many mistakes as everyone else. Pelosi told us to go to Chinatown too and Biden said banning flights was a bad idea. But I get it this is all not relevant to a Trump detractor.

Which is exactly why that particular rando scientist on a pandemic task force became a household name, and none of the others to that extent. Hate Fauci or not, but "MSM" is seen as a biased fear factory, Biden as a mouthpiece for the liberal agenda, and Trump as a mouthpiece for himself. It can't be argued that Fauci at least sounds like he's trying to be honest with us, and according to public perception, there's a serious dearth of that.
He became the face of this precisely because he's the only one on TV who sounds like he's trying to tell us the truth.

Scott Atlas?
Yeah, probably a really good neuroradiologist.

That's what I'm saying. Fauci didn't become The Guy based on his credentials. Has absolutely nothing to do with that.

Well, the crowd sure didn't like him. Presumably because they prefer being lied to over a guy who tells them things they don't want to hear, but believes to be true.
As Larry said, there's a bunch of dumb people voting in this election.
