    I've avoided commenting in this thread for 2 reasons - I think highly of George and his family, and 2, it's bringing back memories of the sheer terror I felt watching my wife go through this. Sarah came very close to dying from pneumonia twice during her bout with this virus. George, tell her I'm praying for her, Sarah is praying for her, and to watch out for the pneumonia thing.

    Speaking of, how is the wife doing nowadays?

    She's doing well. She's having to take antibiotics right now because she developed a fever some days ago, and it seems she may have a touch of pneumonia coming back, but so far so good. She's asthmatic, so her lungs aren't all that strong to start with.

      There you go! If it makes her feel even a little bit better, it's worth doing. If it's even just a little bit of a pleasant distraction from being sick, it's worth it! 😁

            Not true. I still have it.

            I'm just working up the courage to drink more.

                  Yes, I think whiskey should help.

                  She should try different flavors.

                  At the moment I have Canadian, Irish, Kentucky, Tennessee and Scotch on my shelf. I recommend them all.

                    Flavors are meaningless right now, but this is something to explore when my senses return

                          Cheap liquor, a lot of time it’s not even on the shelf but in the rail under the bar. Typically used for mixed drinks.

                              Walk back to the store room and look at the 55 gallon drums. After the third drink, you can't tell the difference between a call drink and drum alcohol.😖

                                @Aqua-Letifer I don’t think so. I think it’s referring to a bar rail.

                                        A couple I recommend that are both very nice to drink neat:

                                        This one is a smooth classic that's widely available.

                                        b23c9e7f-3114-4033-beb3-6ecc04cbc2df-image.png

                                        This one is not a bourbon, and harder to find in local stores in many places, but it is especially nice for a bad head cold or lung congestion.
