      The Murder Turtle rolls.

      She'll be sworn in tonight.

Maybe the Court will now return to what it is supposed to be. As Hamilton wrote, the SCOTUS is supposed to be the weakest of the three branches. It is supposed to settle questions of the law, not legislate from the bench.

Rather than whining about the court and threatening to pack it so they can have their way, perhaps the Dems need to roll up their sleeves and craft legislation that can pass through Congress and endure Constitutional challenge.

If only Mitch McConnell and the GOP Senate could think like that and gave Merrick Garland a fair shake like they were supposed to.

The Dems passed the Affordable Care Act, DACA Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, etc., so far they have endured Constitutional challenges just fine.

            DACA

Is that a law? I must've missed that.

One would think that the vote to confirm a SCOTUS nominee would be headline news.

Apparently, according to MSNBC, it doesn't even deserve a mention. This is a screenshot of their homepage as of 7:45 CDT - almost an hour after the vote occurred.

Oops! Replace that with the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act then.

I think Roberts interpretation of the Individual Mandate will soon permanently go down in flames.

                    As it should.

Half an hour later, with Trump presiding over the swearing in, MSNBC still hasn't updated.

MSNBC TV has Rachel Maddow talking about the virus.

Well, it would be a nice segue to a "Public Option" or "Medicare for All" or some form of single-payer universal healthcare. 🙂

So, now that the Supreme Court has a supposed "6-3 Conservative majority," what last minute voter suppression or voter disenfrenchisement rulings you think the GOP will push through between now and the start of the next Congress is seated?

                              Go ahead, be creative!
