    +1

Someone here said it well. "How can we miss her if she won't go away?" 😄

The Murk says she'll vote "Yes" to approve.

      Collins says she'll vote "No."

I know a gal in the Alaskan GOP. She holds a minor office in the state.

She said people in the party went full-on, "We'll burn your house down and piss on the ashes" with Murky, if you * dare* vote against Barrett.

Stopping Hillary Clinto from getting into the White House is enough by itself for Trump to deserve to win this election.

If the Democrats truly look at the vote as a vote on whether Judge Baret is qualified, it appears that they should vote to approve her, regardless of party.

As far as i can see, she is qualified.

That stopped being a criterion more than 25 years ago.

                With who?

All the nominees I can think of have been qualified except the one that Bush withdrew before he nominated Alito. His personal lawyer from Texas.

                Only non-witches get due process.

What I meant was "being qualified" stopped being a sufficient criterion for SCOTUS. Now you have to pass a partisan litmus test.

Seems to me, I remember a Justice or two that wasn't even a lawyer...Wonder what the ABA would say about that now?

Hmmm...Well, Ginsburg didn't have a Juris Doctor degree. Wonder if she was qualified?

And while all Justices have been lawyers or at least have read law, I know there were several who had never served as judges before their appointment. Rehnquist comes to mind...
