At this rate we could have 100MM early votes.

    Out of maybe 150-155MM cast.

It’s 2020, I’m sure over 250,000,000 votes will be counted.

            That's double 2016

I assume most of that is fraud

            And so will the loser

New York early voting starts tomorrow. That graph may well keep accelerating

                    Is New York relevant?

That is roughly double the population of that age bracket.

Under modern voting laws, the highest total turnout of Voter Aged Population is 62%. Over the past 40 years it’s not topped 57% and between 50-55 is typical. If turnout goes over 62% I will be extremely suspicious. If it goes over 65% I am calling shenanigans. 65% would be 172,250,000 at most. We are almost 1/3 of the way there already.

I think we will likely break the 1908 record.

Heavy polarization leads to motivated voters.

We opened today. At a little after 5 there was still a line about 1000 ft long outside the voting place.

The credible estimate I’ve seen is 157MM

60% would be an insanely high turnout based on the last 60 years. I doubt 65% are even registered to vote...

I also don’t think that you can compare an era that women didn’t have the vote and both blacks and poor whites were disenfranchised.

Well the comparison is normalized because the percentages are of eligible voters.

Also it was 57% just 12 years ago.

I think it’s quite obvious that people are more agitated and focused today than they were then. Notwithstanding the people who thought BHO walked on water.

Two other differences- today we have social media reminding us every fucking day to register and giving us specific instructions how to do so.

                                      Also, Covid. Everyone is home.
