Prayers for her recovery...

Oh man. I’m sorry George.

I'm sorry, George. This must be very worrying for you.
-
Ugh. I’m sorry that she’s had to suffer through this.

Not great news.
We just got news that my daughter may have been exposed. One of her classmates is symptomatic and she and a few others had a cocktail hour with her the other night. They were pretty distanced, but it was a couple hours. She was random tested by the university and negative the other day, but she's scheduled for another test next week.

Two weeks. Shit, that's a long time to be putting up with this. Very best wishes.

(In the old days, a pulse ox was "cutting edge." Now, you can get one on Amazon for less that $40.)
You talked me into getting one. Why the heck is my pulse only around 40?
Out of curiosity do you ever get dizzy when you stand up? I have orthostatic hypotension. If your heart rate is 42 while standing or even sitting after moving around that is pretty amazing.

George, I'm so sorry she's still struggling with this. Her posts sound so much like my experience last February. It's almost identical. The coughing will create significant pain, because it's usually a very hard cough, almost gut wrenching. That could be adding to her pain issues. That cough ... it can hurt like heck.
I hope she gets her chest checked. I wish I had done that, but I was so miserable that I didn't want to go anywhere, and COVID wasn't really talked about yet then. If she's able to go, she should. If she's not able, then she really should.
She may have an inhaler prescribed, and it may seem like too little of a product to combat this, until after a few days of use. If that's what is prescribed, encourage her to at least try it. I was very skeptical, but it helped.

It took my sister-in-law months to bounce back.
It's not the flu. People who have not seen it in their family or who have not experienced it, simply do not understand.

Really hoping for better news soon.

She describes her symptoms so objectively, very cool and collected.
Blood clots. I have not heard of this as being related to Covid. Is this a side effect of some medication, or is there a reason the virus would cause blood clots? If Covid is a unique variant of a flu virus, I don't remember ever hearing about blood clots occurring during a flu experience.
I hope to hear some good news soon. I know we all do.
