Do you think recruiting has become harder for agencies like the FBI and CIA since the Trump administration came in?

As an acid test would you be more or less willing to encourage a young family member to join those agencies, relative to 4 years ago?

I don't think it's any harder. With the current economy, I suspect they are getting their doors beaten down by applicants...

If you were hoping for a cushy deep state job you are less likely to go to the FBI now.

FBI is an aspiration for many young college educated law enforcement types. I don’t see a shortage of those.

I can imagine that the international relations types that the CIA recruits are going to be a bit more scarce in a Trump and post-Trump world.
