Mittens and Murkowski are now saying a vote before the election is to be considered. Dems are resigned to Trump winning this one.
For all of Trump's many faults, do keep your eyes on the prize...a re-elected Trump will probably appoint five justices during his tenure. Since SCOTUS has become the most powerful of the three branches this bodes well for the Republic.
With less Living Constitution proponents on the court, the Congress may actually have to do its job. Laws made closer to the citizens, are better laws.

Gotta say - I'm a fan of conservative (or non-legislation oriented) judges.
I don't think having an inert judiciary fixes congress.
I think the latter is open for discussion.
If people are stymied from legislating from the bench, you don't think that Congress can step up? Is compromise dead?

The question is when? I really do prefer the idea of a confirmation hearing the week after the election.
