George - they're following their own footsteps. There's a reason it's the Southern Baptist Convention.

I had to google duck-duck-go around to see what this kerfuffle is all about. Nothing to do with religion, everything to do with being woke.

Religions will tend to conflict with each other.

      Education is extremely important.

There is a doctrine component. The woke faction is Hell-bent (literally) on becoming more liberal. That may play in Nashville, but it's going over like a turd in a punchbowl in many other places.

I went through this crap at my alma mater. Darn near drove the place in the ground, until sanity prevailed.

Yes, it is Critical Race Theory. And, it has been taught for years if not decades in one form or another in the school system so it makes sense to those that cannot think for themselves, as it was on the academic menu and was never questioned. There was no arguing components of "Social Justice." Indoctrination = brainwashing, when no alternative is offered.
There were so many school board meetings where this crap was mentioned. I honestly thought everyone else noticed the horseshit that was being presented. I once asked an assistent superintendent to define "Social Justice" as I needed clarification. She went off on some righteous tirade, and all I said was, "thank you for the explanation." In retrospect, I should have pushed back, even if alone. But I did in other ways, which is how I got removed from the board and replaced by a sycophant.

It really pisses me off. It's like some sort of disease that has overtaken the body, like some movie that couldn't possibly be true. I mean, people are smart enough to weigh all sides of an issue(s) in depth, right?, and come to a rational conclusion?

                Apparently not.

Humans are wired to see truth and goodness in whatever social ideas are most beneficial to their own social status. The brain is evolution's tool to propagate the body it controls after all.

Yeah, well, humans are stupid. Humans' needed to evolve further, and education was supposed to take the place of natural evolution. That's my theory, I'm sticking to it, even though I just made it up.

My theory is that there are good theories (mine) and there are not as good theories (everybody else's). I'm afraid that your theory falls into the latter category. But that's just my theory and yours could be correct as well.
