Looking for bang for the buck.

    Why Florida?

Florida is pretty close, if Trump loses it there aren’t a lot of good paths for him to get to 270.

Florida is pricey to move. Most of the independent orgs are focused on midwestern swing states where its cheaper to advertise.

In Florida you have a number of very expensive ad markets. You gotta go big or go home. Bloomberg can obviously go big.

Finally, Florida starts counting mail in ballots before Election Day. A victory in Florida would likely mean a Biden win on the evening of November 3rd, not some days later.

    Only non-witches get due process.

What a brilliant strategist. Trump had NO idea what he was getting into when he picked THAT fight. Michael Bloomberg does NOT lose - period.

@jon-nyc Also, I also believe that President Trump is "pretty happy"with the way that mail in balloting is done in Florida, so less chance (in Democrat eyes) of complaints if he looses.

Tell Bloomie to have at it.

I am sure that both sides will be very targeted with their ads. It can make a difference, but sometimes, too much of ads by one side can backfire as people become tired of them.

Question - is the President of the US eligible to spend his own money on the general campaign? Maybe he has, but if it is okay, I would expect President Trump to possibly add some of his own money as the election gets closer.

(BTW, I wish I had USD$100 MM to spend, and not really miss it!!) LOL

Yes he can. In 2016 he spent 66MM of his own money.

I think $100M in Florida will send people screaming to the aisles..

It's strangely appropriate that the home of Florida Man/Woman/Pet Gator, could decide this election.

                      I was only joking

Well the race is likely to be close enough at the electoral college level that any large state could decide it. It’s just that Florida is more in play than, say, CA, TX, or NY.
