The whole "Hate Crime" thing always has been and always will be something I do not agree with. Crime is crime, is crime. What crime was committed here? petty theft? Charge her with petty theft.

Actually, I somewhat agree with you. I don't like the hate crime stuff, myself. Petty crime, though? Nah. I want this one to hurt more than that...
