    Peer review now optional, political staff would screen grants for forbidden topics.

    Critics say that's a recipe for disaster for US scientific research. But hey, that sounds a lot like what Communist China has been doing and very few accuses China for being weak at scientific research lately. 🤷

      Would he want President AOC’s agency heads to be able to cancel any grant at any time if one of them decided the research ‘wasn’t in the national interest’?
