I’m still very early in the book . The year 9 CE. Lots of blood and gore in the coming 150 years. But he is an easy read. It’s written as an interesting narrative. Not dry history.

I first read his book on the naval battle of actium. ( Octavian vs Marc Antony and cleopatra. ) Which was fascinating.

          It doesn't. Hated it.

Wealthy, self-centered people destroying their (and others') lives. 300 pages of nothing could have been condensed to a short story.

          I love you long time.

            Just finished listening to this.

            IMG_2591.jpeg

I really enjoyed it. Hearing about how he grew up poor in the projects and made it to Harvard than HLS and then how he stumbled into Goldman through the back door was interesting. And his inside take on the great financial crisis was interesting and brought back a lot of my own memories.

Saw a couple of videos which recommended the best/easiest translations of the Iliad and The Odyssey.

              Gonna dive into that.

The podcast I recommended is great for background for explaining all the gods and their motivations.

              I love you long time.

My favorite author after the creator of Middle Earth but having a hard time getting into it with all my spare time filled with denouncing Trump. I had an interesting discussion with copilot about Kings earliest works, which I thought were his masterpieces but it ran well over 100 words so I will pass on sharing. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha suffice to say the batting order goes like this for me, the shining the stand Salems lot and It

Let me save you the trouble take it down to the lowest common denominator. Those gods have the same motivations of most humans, pride and greed.

I liked to read Steven King when I was in my 20’s. I think I liked The Stand and Christine and Pet Semetary the best. I still think of that one when we are around houses in the country on a steep hill. Think I quit after reading the one about the clown.

Kings's 11/23/63 sci fi about the kennedy assassination is pretty cool
