I also don't know why they picked that denomination, maybe they are trying to do this in the USA's 250th year from independence; there are a lot of other activities being planned to celebrate the USA's 250th "birthday."
In mainland China (and this is pretty specific to mainland China, not the Sinosphere else where), "250" is slang for "idiot."

You know and you see how much pressure release is occurring to me every day here my wall is public on Facebook and I know you’ve seen some of my posts and even though many of them are peppered with anti-Trump anti-bullshit. I am showing plenty of my new life that brings me to a new level of peace. I have no desire to go back to California. I think I’m gonna stay a while.

It may very well have to do with the 250th anniversary but I think it’s more simple than that and that someone suggested to him a new $200 bill and of course Trump is never satisfied immediately said no 250.

You are actually one of the first people I would love to meet in person talk about life with. I am jealous of your ability to cook some of the most fabulous food as well as your appreciation for the things to chase it down with. and I went through different stages in my Facebook life of unfriending people who I just couldn’t understand where they saw the goodness in this guy , and I don’t remember specifically unfriending you, Mik. , but I would count you a true Facebook friend if you could find me or if I could find you back I left my link here or in some other thread when people wanted to see pictures and I’m just finding it so goddamn difficult to upload anything from an iPhone I can’t wait till my household goods get here and I can sit down at a computer again, but please let’s reconnect

It’s not the first time you’ve downplay all of his actions so it’s not terribly surprising but hers made my jaw drop and I’m beginning to wonder if there is a vibe in here where people of a more liberal mindset are forced to keep the peace in their mind by soft playing their rebuttals to things….
I read both TG’s and Mik’s posts in the spirit of being trenchant sarcasm over the issue.

And i am usually the first guy to defend the misinterprentations of texted words in this era of electronic communication. Lord knows how many gals passed on the chance with a real man of intellect humor and sarcasm , misreading me for a miscreant. C’est la vie.. the loss was theirs. And yes, i do owe TG the grace of allowing for her own 555 sarcasms. I stepped out of line with a closed mind in that moment
