Impressions of Palm Beach
-
Somehow this week was my first ever trip to Palm beach.
It sort of reminds one of the Hamptons. Some similar trappings, much of the beach is private, large hedges and even rows of trees used as fences around grand homes.
Lots of the same boutiques in both places, and the signs under their names even said “Hamptons - Palm Beach”
Prices similar too. At least restaurants, stores etc.
But at the same time the vibe is different. Hamptons is more understated, Palm Beach a bit more in-your-face. The crowd seems older too.
It’s a lot easier to imagine Trump fitting in here than in the Hamptons. AI tells me he never did own a Hamptons house. Though Don jr did.
