I think I remember reading about this when I read "The Right Stuff."

In a sort of related note, Jared ("Ears") Isaacman has ordered hundreds of pizzas for the Artemis splashdown tomorrow.

Also, he donates his entire salary to Spacecamp. He's a mensch.

Neil lived in my hometown for years after the moon landing while he taught at U of Cincinnati. His kid was kind of a dweeb at the high school. I mean, what do you do when your dad was the first man on the moon?

The town event center is named for him.

@LuFins-Dad fake news. AFAIK, Biden never owned a Trans Am.

He did, however, have a 'Vette which was safely stored with assorted classified documents in his garage.

          But that's another thread.

Jim Rathmann Chevrolet was our local Chevy dealer when I was a kid in Merritt Island. Oddly I didn’t know about the astronaut connection despite living there in the tail end of the 70s and early 80s.

The marketing team pulled off the product placements then the advertising team dropped the ball?

Or maybe as a 10 year old I wasn’t their target market.
