Oh sure, arrest someone for going into a church but not for storming the Capitol.

I expect a judge to dismiss the case real quick.

In fairness, I don't think he ever intended to get arrested, but I'm sure he's glad that he was.

        Education is extremely important.

The Justice Department tried to get a grand jury to indict Lemon, the grand jury refused. The Justice Department tried to get a magistrate judge to issue an arrest warrant for Lemon, the magistrate judge refused. The Justice Department arrested Lemon anyway. Desperate indeed.

“This is a very serious felony,” a federal prosecutor said in court, adding Lemon “knowingly joined a mob to storm into a church.”

Tourism, surely? Did he steal any of the religious stuff? Was he seen sitting in Christ's chair? Did he dress up like a fucking buffalo? Probably not.

              I was only joking

Apparently you do not think the right of worshippers to do so in peace is important. This does not surprise me.

I have not looked into this at all and have no opinion about it but I think the question in Lemon’s case is whether he was a protestor or press covering the protestors. The same grand jury and magistrate that refused to indict him had no problem indicting protestors without any press status.

He's unemployed. An "independent journalist". If he was in there he was an impediment to the service and it was right to arrest him. I have no problem with dropping the charges.

Apparently he has a regular show on YouTube and podcast. He was even there with his producer live-streaming I believe.

Unclear to me where courts draw the line about who is a journalist and who isn’t. Probably has to include independent journalists to some degree in 2026.
