She just doesn't seem tough enough for NYC.

Trump’s not big on the Burkean conservative governance principle of subsidiarity is he?

Quite a micro manager if you ask me.

        Elbows up!

I’m fine with it just so we can get it off the table as an excuse not to solve the real problem which is it is effectively illegal to build housing in most jurisdictions in the US.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

Does that have to do with Mamdani?

              Education is extremely important.

He supports all these policies and ironically tried to fight a bankruptcy sale of some housing assets to a landlord he didn’t like by arguing that the business wasn’t sustainable because of these policies.

You can only confiscate the wealth that exists at a given moment. You cannot confiscate future wealth — and that future wealth is less likely to be produced when people see that it is going to be confiscated.
Farmers in the Soviet Union cut back on how much time and effort they invested in growing their crops, when they realized that the government was going to take a big part of the harvest. They slaughtered and ate young animals that they would normally keep tending and feeding until maturity.

I’m hoping they overreach and try to take over some of the properties that are off the market due to their idiotic policies. Then maybe scotus can find rent control itself to be a taking under the fifth amendment.

Mamdani Reverses Campaign Promise to Expand Rental Assistance
A rental voucher program costs more than $1 billion. The mayor’s decision to curtail its expansion reflects the clash between his ideology and the realities of managing the city.

No matter, he's still the mayor. For now. I don't foresee a second term.
