My guess, worth about what I’m charging for it, is this is a long way off. I’m close enough to DNA (and RNA) editing programs to see the risks and challenges and cost up close. I think we’ll have to be a lot better at making them before the benefit-risk profile makes them a realistic option when daily pills are already a reality.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

I think the next best thing after GLP-1s will be oral GLP-1s. The injections are scaring off many people.

@jon-nyc yeah, I'd be very reluctant to be an early adopter.

The injections are no big deal at all. You don't even feel them. That said, I'd be up fro trying the oral, especially if it brings prices down. GLP-1s and other expensive drugs have already spiked Part D prices the last two years.

Are they subcutaneous like insulin shots or intramuscular?

We're worried about the polio vaccine, but this is a good idea?

                I was only joking

I know. And I think this is big.

If this becomes a pill you can swallow every day and the costs come down <$100 a month, then you'll have 100M daily users in no time.
