I think it's fair to say that Elon will have all the stuff he wants, and then some.

The idea that everything is going to be provided to us free doesn't make sense. Rich people didn't get rich by giving stuff to other people without them paying for it, and I can't imagine them changing their philosophy for the greater good of society without significant pressure being applied from elsewhere.
