Maduro might be checking the train schedule

I know we grabbed Maduro and wife, but not sure why there was a major attack on Caracas or exactly what was done. .

My initial thought is that’s just what it took to do it safely. Maybe some ‘shock and awe’ factor to limit resistance.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) said he spoke with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who told him that Maduro had been arrested by U.S. personnel to stand trial, and that the military action reported overnight was carried out to protect those executing the arrest warrant. Rubio, Lee added, anticipated no further U.S. action in Venezuela now that Maduro was in custody.

Looks like it was airports and military. Further action is not expected.

People are bringing up the parallels to the 1989 action against Noriega in Panama (also by Delta Force).
Oddly I remember the name Bush gave that - Operation Just Cause.
The reason I remember it is the late talk radio wag Bob Lassiter kept calling it “Operation Just beCause”.
Still makes me laugh.

How likely is it that the attack lined up with Venezuela’s strongest military ally (Iran) having their own problems? Coincidence?
