Shoot, I only paid $72 for a 6 lb prime rib at an upscale place!

Seriously my skirt steak was $57 for 2.27lbs. At fucking Stop and Shop. Hardly a gourmet market.

$7 for the steak, $50 for the skirt?

      I was only joking

I got a prime boneless new york strip whole loin at Costco for $16/pound. Cut it into 12 steaks.

It's $20 at HEB. The only reason I keep my Costco membership, even though they don't have this deal all the time. Or even this product.

That's one complaint I have with Costco. You find something great but can never buy it again.

I’m thinking of signing up for Costco. Remember I shared the absurd amount I spent on groceries last year.

For most things Costco is not much of a bargain unless you buy in bulk. Competitors have figured out what they are doing and have countered them, at least where I have been. Much of the Costco charm is the relatively upscale product selection and the gas prices.

Yeah but consider the base prices I’m paying. I spent 22k through November remember. For 2.5 of us. That doesn’t include any alcohol.

I find Costco worth it for other reasons than just the groceries…

We bought a new dishwasher last month that was $200 less than online, and it included the installation and removal of the old model., plus an extension of the warranty. We got Karla a new computer for Christmas. It was $300 less than MicroCenter. I bought the HVAC system for the house 5 years ago through Costco. My neighbor bought the same Lennox system the year before through the same service provider Costco uses. He won’t say how much, but I know he’s ticked about the price and the service contract that I received.

Costco has a limited but quality fish selection.

They get really good walleye. Salmon not so much unless it's the wild caught sockeye. Love sockeye, but it's not as fatty as farm raised so you have to take it off the grill a bit before you'd normally think it was done.

I rarely buy fresh meat or fresh fish from Costco, because it only sells in bulk most of the time, I usually cannot consume that much meat or fish before it spoils, I don't want to tie up the freezer space to store that much meat and fish, and don't really like to deal with the hassle of freezing and thawing anyway. 🤷

Yeah, I only buy the fish if we are having guests and I know I will use it up. I won't buy their beef tenderloin because it's all butt end stuff, not center cut, and the pieces are much too big for an individual serving.
