@Horace said in Interesting re MAGA for the post Trump era:

Everybody with a functioning brain knows that white identity politics is DOA electorally. What is not clear is the notion that white identity politics had anything to do with the GOP's losses on Tuesday. The left is very motivated to pretend that Fuentes is the new leader of the right, even though he has a small fraction of the influence that Kirk did, who was completely ignored.

Maybe people just don't like what the Republicans have done. They haven't exactly covered themselves in glory over the last year.

Based on his Tweets, Trump seems to think he's their greatest asset. Nobody I speak to in real life thinks that way.

I only see that sort of thing from Truth social, which I check periodically to get clued into market crashes and other facets of our interesting times.

Well, Trump generally thinks he's the greatest human to walk the earth since Jesus Christ, so it kind of goes without saying that he thinks he's an asset rather than an asshat.

      I was only joking

          The thread.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

Told you he was smart. But he's probably more in tuned with the "right wing media apparatus" than most. I'll listen to VDH, but I challenge anybody who believe he's insane, though he is part of the right's media apparatus.

The idea that nations should not be competing with one another. And presumably that there would be a mechanism by which this cooperation between nations would be enforced.

                          AI Overview
The term "globalist" is widely recognized as an antisemitic dog whistle or coded word when used in certain political and conspiratorial contexts. The idea that Jews act as "globalists" is a modern manifestation of long-standing conspiracy theories alleging a secret international Jewish circle plotting for world domination or control over global finance, governments, and media.

That’s AI not me, I’m more of flat earther myself.

That's a far cry from what chatGPT said. It did acknowledge that in certain contexts it can carry the implication of antisemitism, but that was a corner usage. Perhaps not so corner in certain places in punditry.
