    Her take mirrors my own on it. Very tired of high alcohol wines that are just big and nothing else. I'm seeing some refinement these days. But I've been drinking primarily French, Italian, Spanish and Oregon wines for quite a few years.

      I remember as a kid going on holiday to France, and after what must have been a good year they were selling off bottles of red for about 20 cents a pop. They just had little plastic stoppers instead of corks.

      My dad thought he'd died and gone to heaven. I was only about 14, but I seem to remember it being pretty drinkable.
