Well that’s a philosophical question. How many individual acts of idiocy does a person have to commit before they’re can be labeled an idiot wholesale?
I may have seen or heard Mr. Trump act like an idiot, but I can't remember it. I would be very surprised, he is not an idiot.
I think this is a word use problem. Jerk, might work if you feel that way or impolite but not idiot.
He just isn't an idiot. Check your word use.

OK, yes this is a word use problem.
That post actually introduces several other problems with the words used.
Subjective really isn't the right word either.
