Reds pitchers accused of tipping the Dodgers off to the coming pitches

This is the quality of reporting we get in the Misinformation Superhighway.
One has to wonder why any gambling (and it would have to be gambling oriented) entity would pay what would be needed to assure an already certain Dodgers victory.

Couple of questions:
Does it really make that much of a difference? Does it really help the batter? I would think that if they changed that speed at which they threw, that would be quite confusing also, or even if they threw to a different location.
Do they think he did it intentionally?

I don’t believe that they were accusing the Reds of doing it on purpose, more that they had tells that the other team liked to exploit. Like how a Left Tackle might use a a 2 point stance most of the time but switches to a 3 point on power runs to his side… It’s a tell for the defender… Maybe on a fastball they noticed the pitcher dips the glove lower in the windup or holds the mitt tighter to the body on a breaking ball…
