It got way too mainstream for progressive heads to be so far up progressive asses, that they assumed they could virtue-shame everybody into accepting anything. Interesting to see the trans thing was the turning point. Reasonable case to be made that it was a necessary if not sufficient part of the platform that got Trump elected. Well done, progressives.
